Free grade tools with transparent math
GradePoint is a free collection of GPA calculators and student guides built for people who need clear grade math without creating an account. The site started with a simple problem: students often need to know where they stand right now, but many grade calculators are cluttered, slow, or vague about the formula.
Every tool on GradePoint is designed to be practical first. You enter grades, credits, percentages, or CGPA values, and the calculation happens in your browser. We do not ask for a login, and we do not collect the grades you type into the calculators.
Who the site is for
GradePoint is built for high school students planning college applications, college students tracking semester and cumulative GPA, transfer applicants comparing target schools, graduate school applicants checking academic readiness, and international students trying to understand US-style GPA expectations. The goal is not to replace official transcripts or admissions offices. The goal is to help students understand the math before they make decisions.
The guides are written for real student decisions: whether a final exam target is realistic, whether a GPA is competitive enough to apply, whether a transfer plan needs stronger grades, or whether an international CGPA estimate should be sent for official evaluation.
Our principles
Calculations run instantly in the browser so students can test scenarios quickly.
Grades entered into calculators stay on the device and are not submitted to a server.
Guides explain what the numbers mean, not just how to compute them.
Content focuses on finals, transfers, med school, graduate school, and grade recovery.
How we calculate results
GradePoint uses standard public formulas for credit-hour GPA, final exam targets, percentage estimates, and CGPA conversion estimates. Because schools can have different grading policies, every calculator is presented as a planning tool rather than an official transcript calculation.
Current tools
- GPA Calculator - semester and cumulative GPA on the 4.0 scale.
- Finals Grade Calculator - find the final exam score needed to reach a target course grade.
- CGPA to GPA Calculator - convert Indian 10-point CGPA to US GPA, WES-style estimates, German grades, and CGPA from percentage.
Student guides
The calculators are supported by editorial guides that answer the questions students usually ask after seeing a number. Current guides cover medical school GPA expectations, weighted vs. unweighted GPA, transfer GPA calculation, graduate school GPA requirements, and how to raise your GPA.
Accuracy and limitations
GradePoint uses estimates where schools do not share one universal standard. International conversion pages are especially sensitive because WES, universities, uni-assist, and admissions offices may review transcripts differently. Always use your transcript, registrar policy, or program requirements as the official source when applying, graduating, or making financial aid decisions.
